AtamaiAi Limited ("AtamaiAi", "we", "us") is a Pasifika-inspired company based in Aotearoa New Zealand. We respect your privacy and design our apps to collect as little personal information as possible. This policy explains what we do and don't collect, and how we handle any information we hold, in line with the New Zealand Privacy Act 2020.
The short version
The apps we design are built not to collect your personal information. Where an app needs to process what you enter (for example, an AI feature), that information is used only to provide the feature and is not sold or used to identify you. Our website collects only what you choose to send us.

2.What this policy covers
This policy applies to the AtamaiAi website (atamaiai.com) and to the apps and tools we design and publish, unless a specific app provides its own privacy notice. Where an individual app collects or processes information differently, that app's notice will make this clear.
3.What we don't collect
Our apps are designed to work without collecting personal information that identifies you. Unless an app clearly states otherwise, we do not:
- require you to create an account or provide your name to use core features;
- track you across other apps or websites for advertising;
- sell or rent personal information to anyone;
- build advertising profiles about you.
4.What we do collect
To be transparent, there are limited situations where we handle information:
- When you contact us. If you email hello@atamaiai.com, we receive your email address and whatever you include, so we can respond.
- Website server logs. Our hosting provider may record standard technical data (such as IP address, browser type, and pages visited) to keep the site secure and running. We do not use this to identify you.
- On-device app data. Some apps store information only on your own device to make the app work. This stays on your device and is not sent to us unless the app clearly says so.
- AI feature inputs. If an app includes an AI feature, the text or content you enter may be sent to a third-party AI provider to generate a response. This is used only to provide the feature and is not stored by us to identify you.
5.How we use information
We use the limited information above only to respond to you, provide and improve our apps and website, keep our services secure, and meet our legal obligations. We do not use it for any unrelated purpose without your consent.
6.Third parties and service providers
We rely on a small number of trusted providers, such as website hosting and, where relevant, AI providers that power app features. These providers process information only to deliver their service to us. We choose providers with appropriate security and privacy practices.
7.Information stored or sent overseas
Some of our providers may store or process information outside New Zealand. Where this happens, we take reasonable steps to ensure comparable privacy protections apply, consistent with the Privacy Act 2020.
8.Keeping information secure
We take reasonable steps to protect the limited information we hold from loss, misuse, and unauthorised access. No online service can be guaranteed as completely secure, but we work to keep risk low by holding as little information as possible.
9.Children's privacy
Some of our apps are intended for use in education settings and may be used by young people. We design these apps not to collect personal information from children. Where an app is used by learners, we work with the school or organisation responsible for those learners. If you believe a child's personal information has been collected in a way that concerns you, please contact us and we will address it promptly.
10.Your rights
Under the Privacy Act 2020 you have the right to ask what personal information we hold about you, and to ask us to correct it. To make a request, email hello@atamaiai.com. We will respond as soon as we reasonably can.
11.Cookies and analytics
Our website uses only what is needed to function. If we introduce analytics or cookies in future, we will update this policy and, where required, ask for your consent.
12.Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. The effective date at the top shows when it was last changed. Significant changes will be made clear on this page.
